Practical AI training for government teams

AI Playbooks & Reviewer Training

Give staff clear steps for using AI, verifying its output, and knowing when to pause or escalate.

North Align helps government agencies and prime contractors build practical playbooks and train the people who prepare, review, and approve AI-assisted work. Training connects your approved tools and agency requirements to specific tasks, review criteria, and responsibilities.

Training by role

Clear responsibilities at each step

Select the roles and tasks your team needs to support. Staff practice the decisions they are responsible for, using shared review criteria and realistic examples.

Staff preparing work

Select appropriate sources, use permitted inputs, and give clear instructions. Follow the task playbook, check the initial output, and prepare the draft for review.

PracticeSpot information that should not be included in a prompt or attachment, then prepare a draft using suitable material.

Reviewers & approvers

Compare output with its sources. Check facts, completeness, terminology, and meaning. Record corrections and decide whether to approve, revise, reject, or escalate within your authority.

PracticeFind an unsupported statement and an omitted eligibility condition in a sample draft, then document the review decision.

Managers & workflow owners

Apply agreed responsibilities and approval rules. Recognize recurring issues, route exceptions to the right owner, and keep playbooks current when tools or agency requirements change.

PracticeWork through conflicting source guidance and identify who must resolve it before the task can proceed.

Sessions cover AI limitations, approved tools and accounts, sensitive information, useful instructions, and human accountability. Exercises use public or fictional information. Removing names alone does not establish that a record is suitable for an AI tool.

What your team receives

Playbooks and review tools staff can keep using

Your scope defines the number of playbooks, staff groups, sessions, and supporting materials.

Task playbooks by role
Editable standard operating procedures covering approved tools, permitted inputs, source documents, task steps, review and approval points, and escalation contacts. Each playbook includes an owner and version date.
Reviewer checklist & decision rubric
Agreed checks for source support, completeness, required conditions, terminology, and appropriate language, with criteria for accepting, correcting, or escalating an output and recording the review.
Practice exercises & worked examples
Sample prompts, source documents, and AI drafts for staff to review. Exercises include unsupported statements, omitted requirements, or conflicting guidance, with example review notes to discuss as a group.
Learning records & handover
A summary of exercise results, learning gaps, and agreed attendance or completion records, plus guidance for keeping the materials current.

Examples are tailored to your approved tools, such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Adobe Acrobat AI Assistant, or other workplace AI features, subject to available licenses and settings.

Leadership experience

Led by a former Minnesota state director

Founder Adam Taha established and led Minnesota’s Enterprise Translations Office. The office combined AI-assisted work with professional human review and quality controls.

OpenAI’s case study of that work describes staff training and the office’s support for other divisions through safe-use guidance, best practices, and live demonstrations.

Working together

Start with one task and the people responsible for it

Choose a focused workshop or a short training series. Remote delivery, manager briefings, refresher sessions, and follow-up Q&A can be included in the agreed scope.

  1. Confirm the task & roles

Identify the workflow, staff roles, approved tools, policies, and existing procedures. Agree on learning goals, accessibility needs, materials, and the agency contacts who will confirm requirements.

  2. Prepare & practice

Develop or refine the playbooks and review criteria with designated owners. Staff practice preparing and checking outputs, compare review decisions, and work through corrections and escalation.

  3. Hand over & reinforce

Provide the agreed materials and learning records. Document unresolved questions for agency owners, confirm who maintains the playbooks, and identify where follow-up practice would help.

Questions about getting started

Can this support staff already using AI?

Yes. We can develop or refine playbooks for an existing approved workflow and tailor practice to the staff who prepare, review, and supervise that work. Your designated agency contacts confirm the tool, data, policy, and approval requirements.

Can this support a required training program?

We can align the training with an identified requirement and provide agreed learning and completion records. Your agency determines whether the scope meets that requirement and retains responsibility for compliance decisions and tool approvals.

How does this fit with the pilot and oversight services?

The AI Workflow Pilot & Verification includes a reviewer playbook and training for its selected workflow. This service can support an existing workflow or training across additional roles and teams. Program Integrity & Oversight provides separately scoped review, sampling, and follow-up. We agree the scope so responsibilities and deliverables are clear.
