Evidence, controls & accountability

Program Integrity & Oversight

Identify gaps, explain exceptions, and keep corrective actions moving.

North Align provides program integrity consulting and operational oversight support for government agencies and prime contractors delivering government projects. We review documentation and data, strengthen oversight procedures, and help teams track issues through resolution.

How we help

Clear evidence. Consistent review. Documented follow-up.

Start with a defined set of records, a recurring concern, or an existing list of findings.

Documentation & control gaps

Compare records and review practices with agreed requirements. Identify missing approvals, incomplete evidence, unclear responsibilities, and control steps that are absent or inconsistently documented.

Possible outputsDocumentation review matrix, control-gap register, and oversight checklist.

Data validation & exception reporting

Check completeness, duplicates, inconsistent values, and unusual patterns using agreed rules. Explain data limitations and flag items for review in context.

Possible outputsValidation rules, exception report, and documented review notes.

Procedures & corrective actions

Update oversight procedures, define escalation steps, and assign actions to owners with due dates. Track progress and record the evidence needed to close each issue.

Possible outputsUpdated procedures, corrective-action tracker, and closure checklist.

Records & data management

Retention policies and controlled data deletion

We help turn approved retention requirements into workable policies and procedures, with your records, legal, and IT teams involved.

Records inventory & ownership
Identify record categories, storage locations, responsible owners, and applicable retention schedules. Flag gaps for review.
Retention policy & procedure updates
Draft or update staff instructions, retention triggers, review steps, and responsibilities for approval by the designated owners.
Authorized deletion & evidence
Support authorized data deletion under approved schedules, after checking preservation holds and other restrictions. Document approvals, methods, outcomes, and treatment of backups and copies.

Operational AI oversight

Put AI oversight into daily practice

North Align helps agencies and prime contractors put AI review requirements into practice. We establish practical checks, examine available review evidence, and track findings and corrective actions so leaders can see what needs attention.

Review and approval procedures
Set out what staff must check, which source references they should use, who can approve an output, and what review evidence to record.
Sampling and quality findings
Define the review period, sample-selection method, and quality criteria. Record the sample size, findings, error severity, and limits of what the review can establish.
Issue ownership and escalation
Assign findings to responsible owners with deadlines and escalation triggers. Define when significant or recurring errors require pausing use or switching to a manual process.
Corrective-action verification
Review evidence of corrective changes and recheck agreed examples. Record the results, remaining issues, and the responsible owner’s approval before closing a finding.

Required checks before use or release remain part of the workflow alongside periodic sampling. We can scope a focused setup assignment or recurring oversight support around your workflow and review needs.

Pair this work with AI Performance & Quality Monitoring through our Data, Dashboards & Reports service. The reporting brings review findings, recurring issues, and corrective-action status into a scorecard or dashboard for management.

Working together

From a defined review to accountable follow-up

Scope, review criteria, access, and deliverables are agreed before work begins.

  1. Define the review

Agree on records, data sources, time period, review criteria, and any sampling approach. Confirm authorized access, handling requirements, and responsible contacts.

  2. Check and document

Review documentation, validate data, and discuss exceptions with staff. Record findings, supporting evidence, limitations, and priorities.

  3. Track and verify

Agree on corrective actions and procedure updates. Track owners and deadlines, review completion evidence, and escalate unresolved issues.

Questions about scope

Does this service include financial auditing?
