North Align Consulting LLC is a Minnesota-registered consulting business responsible for the personal information described in this policy. This policy covers northalignconsult.com and inquiries sent through the website or by email.

For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@northalignconsult.com.

Information we collect

When you contact us, we receive your name, email address, organization if provided, and the contents of your message and subsequent correspondence. Contact-form submissions are stored on our website and sent to our business mailbox.

Our website and service providers also process technical information, such as IP addresses, browser information, requested pages, timestamps and security or delivery logs, to operate the site, troubleshoot problems and reduce abuse.

You choose whether to contact us. The form requires a name, email address and message so we can respond; organization is optional. Please avoid sending confidential agency records or sensitive personal information through the public form.

Why we use information

We use inquiry information to answer questions, assess possible consulting work and manage related correspondence. We use technical information to deliver and protect the website and email services. We do not sell personal information or use website inquiries for advertising.

Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are our legitimate interests in responding to business inquiries, managing business relationships and operating a secure website; taking steps you request before a contract, where you are the prospective contracting party; and complying with applicable legal obligations.

Service providers and international processing

We use Hostinger for website hosting, content delivery and business email. Hostinger and its relevant service providers process information needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information where legally required or reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Our founder accesses business correspondence from Norway. Service providers may process information in other countries, so information may be processed outside your country of residence. Hostinger’s Data Processing Addendum describes its processing and applicable transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where required. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your information.

When you consent to analytics, Google processes the analytics information described below. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries. Google’s data-processing terms describe its processing commitments and applicable international-transfer safeguards. Contact us for more information about safeguards relevant to your information.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies or similar browser storage for necessary functions, including remembering your privacy choices. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website and to improve it. Analytics is optional and loads only after you agree to Statistics in our cookie settings.

Analytics may collect online identifiers and information about pages viewed, interactions, device and browser characteristics, referral sources and approximate location. If you consent, a successful contact-form submission can be counted as an inquiry event. We do not send the name, email address, organization or message entered in our contact form to Google Analytics. We do not use Google signals, advertising personalization or remarketing for this website.

Consent is the basis for this optional analytics processing. You can reject analytics and still browse the website or contact us. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through Cookie settings, which remains available on the website. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before withdrawal.

Our Google Analytics user- and event-level retention setting is two months, with renewal on new activity turned off. This setting does not determine cookie expiry or the retention of aggregated reports. Our Cookie Policy provides information about the cookies and their durations.

How long we keep information

We retain inquiry records while responding to your request and while related discussions or a reasonable follow-up need remain active. Once those purposes end, we delete records that are no longer needed. We retain relevant records longer if an engagement follows, a legal recordkeeping obligation applies, or they are needed for an unresolved dispute or legal claim.

Technical logs are retained according to their operational and security purpose and the relevant service settings. Deleted information may remain in backups until those backups are overwritten or expire under the applicable backup schedule.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may also have rights to restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive certain information in a portable format. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where the law permits or requires it.

Send requests to contact@northalignconsult.com. Where applicable, you may also complain to the data-protection authority in your country of residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

Client information and policy updates

Information provided for an actual consulting engagement is also governed by the agreed scope, confidentiality terms and applicable data-handling requirements. The public contact form is intended for initial inquiries.

We update this policy when our practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
